Golden Eagle Student-Athletes Earn Spring Academic Honors
The University of Southern Mississippi has recognized a total of 107 student-athletes for outstanding academic effort during the recently completed spring semester.

C-USA Commissioner's Academic Medals Awarded; 19 Southern Miss Student-Athletes Honored
A total of 334 student-athletes, including 19 from the University of Southern Mississippi, have earned the Conference USA Commissioner's Academic Medal during the 2007-08 academic year, Commissioner Britton Banowsky announced. The medals are given to those C-USA student-athletes who have achieved a cumulative GPA of 3.75 or better.

Virginia Espejo Named Third Team All-Conference USA
Southern Miss freshman Virginia Espejo was named to the Women's Golf All-Conference USA Third Team in a vote by the league's nine coaches announced today by the league office in Irving, Texas.
